INTERNATIONAL LARGE ANIMAL RESCUE CONFERENCE
On 2nd/3rd November 2013 Horse SA ran the International Large Animal Rescue Conference at the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy. The conference had four themes: Large Animal Rescue, Event Incident Management, Livestock Transport & Animals in Disaster.
This page contains information from the conference. In the meantime, people interested in formalising LAR in Australia are invited to join the forum below which commences the pathway to a new national not-for-profit organisation (based on BARTA) national training standards & greater interface with government/community relating to animals in disasters.

Australasian Large Animal Rescue Standards Forum: Drawing from the overseas experience and current Australian knowledge, this group will be the catalyst to draw together persons and organisations with an interest in veterinary care, training and technical rescue in the speciality field of Large Animal Rescue in the Australian context. This group will be the initial communications medium following the highly successful International Large Animal Rescue Conference held at the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy Campus, South Australia facilitated by Horse SA
