Councils are in the "care and control" of public open space. However, each Council will have by-laws pertaining to which areas of open space may be used for horse riding.

Horse SA is currently looking for a volunteer(s) or student(s) to contact each Council in relation to any open space they may have or public horse excercise area. Maps can then be made using our ESRI (ARC MAP) software, with relevant information and contacts, for placement on the Horse SA website. Brownhill Creek Recreation Park, Mitcham. Grassed, fenced arena approx 20 m x 35 m.
