Heritage Horse Power
Heritage Horse Power is a group of Draught Horse owners that volunteer their time at events and shows to provide demonstrations for public education and entertainment. The volunteer’s horses are a variety of historic Draught Horse breeds (heavy horse and smaller harness horses) that are not often available for close encounters with the public. Some of the breeds of horses that participate in our demonstrations are Belgian Draught, Clydesdale, Gypsy Cob, Norwegian Fjord, Percheron, Shire and Welsh Cob. The types of demonstrations can vary with some horses standing for petting and photos, exhibits of harness and vehicles or horses performing examples of farming and training activities.
The volunteers also participate in pleasure drives in horse drawn vehicles. Note: ‘rides’ are not offered to the public.
