Australian Trail Horse Riders Association

ATHRA boasts over 115 clubs nationally with a membership base of approximately 3500 members.  ATHRA is primarily a leisure trail horse riding organisation.  Once you become an ATHRA club member, you belong to a national organisation, which effectively opens up the whole of Australia to our members and wherever they travel with their horse, they’re sure to be welcomed by the local club and enjoy the riding and hospitality of that area. Adelaide Trail Horse Riders Club

Where like-minded people, riding their own horses, enjoy the Australian countryside. Trail rides are conducted once or twice a month within a 50 km radius of Adelaide, South Australia. Periodically, weekend rides are held further a field, with an extended annual ride to places such as the Flinders Ranges. Visit Facebook.

Gawler Trail Horse Riders Club

Club trail rides are held at least once each month, training days and camps. Trail rides include beach, road, paddock, moonlight, sunrise & forest to name a few, usually lasting for around 3 hours (some longer rides also), mostly walk & a little trot but some are a bit faster. The social atmosphere of our rides finishes with a get together for lunch & a chat. Visit Facebook

Northern Trail Horse Riders

The club meets monthly and usually rides on a Saturday and Sunday as many of our members have to travel and we like to make a "weekend" of it. We camp out at the ride location and are generally self-sufficient (i.e. toilets, water, yards). Camp fees sometimes apply. Our rides are organised by our members and held across a region ranging from Burra to Quorn. The terrain we cover is varied but often rough and steep, and horse shoes or boots are sometimes recommended for stony rides. Please check our Facebook page (Northern Trail Horse Riders (SA) PUBLIC GROUP) for our ride schedule and photos. We also have a closed group for financial members that provides ride location and specific requirements, as well as relevant club documentation. Photo: Kristine Peters.
